FMQAI, a subsidiary of Health Services Holdings (HSH), is Florida's Medicare Quality Improvement Organization (QIO) and the End Stage Renal Disease (ESRD) Network of Florida. FMQAI is federally funded and under contract with the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS).

As the Florida QIO, FMQAI implements projects focused on improving the care provided to Medicare beneficiaries. FMQAI's mission is to ensure the quality, effectiveness, efficiency, and economy of health care services provided to Medicare beneficiaries. FMQAI is responsible for improving beneficiary safety and health by completing specific tasks.

In its role as the ESRD Network of Florida, FMQAI provides quality improvement, data management, grievance investigation, technical assistance, and patient and professional education services for more than 285 dialysis providers and 17,000 dialysis patients in the state of Florida. Its goal is to efficiently and effectively increase the quality of care and quality of life for Florida's ESRD patients.

FMQAI is comprised of highly qualified, multi-disciplinary experts in medicine, quality improvement, health information management, statistical analysis, computer programming and operations, communications, public relations, and clerical/administrative support.
